edging, Arcana Poetry Press

edging shatters the messy, volatile world of lust and lingering situationships into sharp, unforgettable fragments. Lyrical, electric, and gut-punching, this debut chapbook moves between raw sensuality and profound depth. Ache, recklessness, and fevered yearning teeter between heartbreak and exhilaration, pulling intimacy and chaos into a dizzying collision. This collection finds a way to pair sultry sinfulness with visceral emotional trauma—and gets away with it every time.

“2pm, Monday Afternoon, Someone’s Living Room” [Smutty Short]

My eyelids lift slowly, my lips curving wickedly as I take in Lily’s silhouette on the other side of the glass. She’s still clothed, so I wipe some of the steam away with my hand to see her better. She smirks, knowing exactly what I’m doing, then turns so her back is to me. Her hands find the hem of her tank top, tugging it over her head slowly before letting it drop to the floor.

“Lovin’ and a Show” [Smutty Short]

I can tell she’s feeling watched again when her stomach contracts, sucking in the barely noticeable softness of her so-called rolls. I make a disgruntled sound in the back of my throat, but I don’t think Bailey can hear it. I want to step in behind her, fully clothed, and wrap my hands around her belly just to show her how much I like touching it.
